Hi! I’m Remi Rose. I’m an American student at a university in Wales. I’ve been living, studying, and traveling abroad for over a year now, all while dealing with anxiety. With that in mind, I know there are a lot of uncertainties and challenges with going abroad, and it can feel so much harder with anxiety. Having as much information as possible in advance can help tremendously, which is what I aim to give you.

When I started considering studying in the UK, I quickly learned that there aren’t any resources to guide American students through the different processes. I went in blind and clueless, just hoping for the best. I made it through, and now I want to use my experiences to guide and inspire others to do the same.

Most of my trips go horribly wrong in some way, which is not fun when you have anxiety. I’ve learned (the hard way) how to survive airports and international travel, even when you’re breaking down. It’s hard and may involve some tears, but it can be done, and it’s worth it in the end.

Whether you want to study abroad or you’re just planning a trip, knowing what to expect can make all the difference. Understanding the university application process, cultural nuances, what to bring, how to make the trip, airport navigation… it’s all important and can relieve a lot of stress. I hope my insights and experiences can inspire you to take the leap and begin your adventure with confidence.
